European Green Hydrogen Acceleration Center appoints Commercial Director

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Carina Krastel as the Commercial Director of the European Green Hydrogen Acceleration Center (EGHAC). Carina will focus on the further development and replication of large industrial decarbonisation projects. These projects use green hydrogen to decarbonize industrial value chains like for example steel making, fertilizer production, synthetic fuel production and shipping.

Carina Krastel is a sustainable energy engineer with experience in engineering, business and innovation. Since 2009, she has worked in the construction and the industrial gas industry on sustainable energy, air quality and innovation topics. Carina completed the EIT InnoEnergy Master degree programme SELECT in 2013 followed by an MBA. Carina has most recently worked as the Director for New Offers for the Energy Transition for the Large Industry business of Air Liquide, a French industrial gas company, where she focussed on topics such as green and blue hydrogen.

“With this appointment we will soon be able to launch our Business Investment Platform, a process to match projects with investors. Carina will play an enabling role in making the business cases better, decrease the associated risks and get the projects faster implemented” Jacob Ruiter, CEO EIT InnoEnergy Benelux, stated.

Carina Krastel, Commercial Director EGHAC, adds: “I am looking forward to  contribute to climate neutrality by 2050 as well as using this transition to create new jobs and a green hydrogen economy.
